My son and I are planning on a D/S ride up the Ortega trail Friday. We haven't been there before.
I called the Ojai Forest service office cell phone, (805) 448-4710
last week and they said the trail was in good condition (and they reminded me it was a black diamond trail). They also said the gate at Cherry Creek road at the top was closed, so we would have to turn around and come back down.
I remember Phil Pulley saying he had done some work on it a couple of years ago. Anyone with a recent ride report?
